Spotlight on Our School Improvement Goals!

This year, we are focusing on two exciting School Improvement Plan (SIP) goals to help all students grow and succeed:

✏️ Writing with Confidence – Students will strengthen their writing and conventions skills by using the CER (Claim, Evidence, Reasoning) and RACE (Restate, Answer, Cite, Explain) strategies while focusing on conventions/grammar. These tools help students think critically, organize their ideas, and communicate clearly when responding to grade-level passages.

💡 Feedback that Fuels Growth – We are also helping students understand the feedback cycle and encouraging them to take a more active role in their learning. By reflecting on feedback, setting goals, and making improvements, students learn that growth is a process—and their voice and effort matter every step of the way!

Together, these goals will empower our students to become stronger writers, thinkers, and learners. We can’t wait to see their progress this year!

🎁 Teachers' Favorite Things List

Looking for an easy way to show appreciation to our amazing teachers? We’ve created a Teacher's Favorite Things List that shares each teacher’s favorite things. This is a great resource for holidays, birthdays, or just-because treats to say “thank you” for all they do to support our students every day.

Upcoming Parent-Teacher Conference

We are looking forward to connecting with you during Parent-Teacher Conferences on Wednesday, November 5th from 4:00–8:00 PM and Thursday, November 6th from 10:00 AM–8:00 PM. Conferences are an important opportunity to partner together in support of your child’s growth and success. Please note that conference times are scheduled in 20-minute increments, so we kindly ask everyone to arrive on time to ensure we can meet with all families. If your teacher hasn't sent out a sign-up yet, I will be sharing all links on Monday, October 6.

While you’re here, be sure to stop by the Scholastic Book Fair—a fun way to support reading at home and our school community.

There will be no school on Friday, November 7th.
