KST Kindness Challenge

I was so wonderful and heartwarming to see all of the kindness that was spread around the school the past month.  Thank you for everyone's participation!! If your child(ren) did participate in the Kindness Challenge and completed their calendar, please send it back to school so we can display all the awesome kindness that our students spread around the school and the community!

Crayon Drive at KST

Do you have old broken crayons that you are trying to get rid of but don't know what to do with them??
Look no further because the next two weeks we will be collecting crayons to support the organization SCARCE. This organization makes “super crayons” for kids and individuals with special needs. We love their mission of keeping broken and unused crayons out of landfills and turning them into a useful tool for some pretty amazing people. They also collect used crayons and make crayon bags for teachers’ classrooms! These crayons can be old, broken, used, or in great shape. Once the crayons have been collected, the paper will be taken off and they will be sorted into colors for the organization. Once that is done, they will be taken to their site in Lombard!  Please bring in donations by March 11th.  Thank you!

5 Essentials Survey

We would love to hear from you! There are a few days left to complete your 5 Essentials Survey. The Illinois 5Essentials Survey for students and teachers will be conducted from January 11, 2022, through March 11, 2022. The Parent Survey Supplement will be conducted during that same timeframe. To take the survey please visit https://survey.5-essentials.org/Illinois/ and select the appropriate survey to begin.
