Book Fair Coming Soon

We are excited to announce that the Scholastic Book Fair is coming soon!  During Parent-Teacher Conferences and throughout the school day, students will have the opportunity to explore a wonderful selection of books and discover stories where they can see themselves, dream big, and find a place where they belong. Whether they love adventures, animals, mysteries, humor, fantasy, or learning something new, there is a book waiting for every reader! Come celebrate our love of reading and help your child find a book that makes them say, “I belong in this story!” And as always, every purchase earns rewards and benefits for our school, helping us put even more great books into the hands of Stewart students!

Here is what you need to know about the Fair, which will take place in our centrally located LRC library:

  • All students will have an opportunity to preview books and make their “Wish List” the week of October 26th - October 30th.

  • All students will be able to shop for books with their class, during school hours Friday, October 30 through Wednesday, November 4th.

  • The Fair will continue to be open for families during Parent-Teacher Conferences; Wednesday, November 4th from 4:00pm – 8:00pm and Thursday, November 5th from 10:00am - 8:00pm.

  • You have the opportunity to purchase books for your child’s classroom.

  • Teacher Wish Lists will be available at the Fair.

  • For volunteering opportunities to assist our youngest students visit:  SignUp Genius

Our Book Fair will continue to offer the eWallet—which allows you to set up a digital payment account for your child.  Share your child’s “eWallet” so friends and family can add funds giving your child even more books to enjoy!   NEW!  eWallets now remain fair to fair,  year to year AND can transfer funds between children! Any unused funds can also be spent at the Scholastic Store Online.

If you can’t make it to the Fair, then shop at our school’s Online Book Fair. All orders ship directly to your home, and shipping is free for book orders over $35.  Of course, your online orders will also benefit our school.

Visit our Book Fair homepage to learn more and get started with eWallet and online shopping:                                                              KST 2026 Fall Scholastic Book Fair

Stewart’s 1st Annual Bookmark Challenge

The winner will be announced Wednesday, October 14th!

Stop in the Library during Parent-Teacher Conferences to see some of the bookmarks our Knights created!

One More Day to Help Fill the Pantry!

The Maple Park Little Free Pantry is collecting non-perishable food and household items to help support families in our community. Tomorrow, October 2, is the LAST DAY to donate!

If your family is able to help, please consider sending in items such as:

  • Canned or shelf-stable foods
  • Pasta, rice, and other pantry staples
  • Peanut butter
  • Cereal
  • Household essentials

Donation boxes are located just outside the KST front office.

We would love to give this community effort one BIG final push! Every donation—big or small—can make a difference for a neighbor in our community.

Thank you for helping us put our Community goal into action and fill the pantry! ❤️

IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR KINDERGARTEN AND NEW STUDENT PARENTS:

The State of Illinois requires that all students have proof of a completed physical examination and up-to-date immunizations upon entrance into kindergarten as well as upon initial enrollment into an Illinois school.

Notices went home with students last week if the health office is missing any paperwork. Please check your student's backpack and email and make sure to turn in any forms as soon as possible.

Students that are non-compliant by October 15, will be excluded from school starting October 15th until all state requirements are met.
